Student Services Reports

When we founded CLUBHOUSE, we envisioned it as a force that would influence different members of our communities to assert their agency and stewardship through service. For a long time now, our CLUBHOUSE Scholars and Ambassadors have participated in the various service initiatives the organization has organized. This past August however, in true coming-of-age fashion, the scholars themselves surprised us with their planned and executed series of community service events throughout their August break- led by the group that is now in Form 4*. Below are the brief reports they wrote up!

REPORT ON THE VISIT WE PAID TO MR GODOS HOUSE ON 12 AUGUST 2019

“The Clubhouse members and I had decided to make an agenda for the places we were to go for our community service and we found it right to start with our role models house .We decided to do some cleaning at Mr Godos place. We started at around 11 o’clock and ended around 3 in the afternoon.we cleaned the yard and burned all the rubbish we had collected.Mr Godo was so delighted to have us around and we enjoyed our time there. The only challenge we faced is that ,some parents were not willing to send their kids as ,they insisted for a teacher’s presence.we plead with the board to clarify to the parents, how these cleanups are important to us and how they should support us.

The only students who attended were :
FINHAI TENDAI (F4)AMY NYAKUDYA (F4)GWEDE TAKUDZWA (F4)NYASHA MAPARA (G7)”-Finhai Tendai TTHE CLEANUP WE DID AT DANGAMVURA POLY CLINIC ON 17 AUGUST 2019

“According to our agenda,we went to  the Dangamvura poly Clinic to do some cleaning. We started at around 9 in the morning and ended at around 1in the afternoon.again only a few attended ,some came as late as 11. Still some parents were having difficulties sending their kids over . Regardless we did the cleaning. We faced troubles with cleaning equipment.there were not enough brooms to do the cleaning. We ended up borrowing brooms from neighbors. We plead with you to provide us with cleaning equipment of our own so that ,we won’t face such difficulties in the future. There were suggestions by the nurses that,we need to make posters that we can leave behind when we do our cleaning. Anyways we enjoyed our cleaning at the clinic and we were taught life lessons by the nurses. They encourage you to keep on doing such wonderful things . During our cleaning, we shared ideas with the young ones and taught them life lessons we experienced and this inspired them to keep on working hard at school .THE STUDENTS PRESENT WERE: Amy Nyakudya (F4)Tendai Finhai (F4)Deron Makono  (G7)Audrey Saunyama (G7)Tanatswa (G7)Angel Sikimarira (G7)”-Amy T Nyakudya (*Form 4= the equivalent of 11th Grade)
